The state government will lift the ban on recruitment of teachers in aided schools after a gap of four years.
This will benefit nearly 4.5 lach students studying in nearly 3678 aided-schools.
More than 3500 posts for teachers are lying vacant following the ban imposed on the recruitment by then Telugu Desam government between 1995 and 2002
Though the ban was lifted in 2002 by the TD government, The recruitment process was mired in controversies due to irregularities in the selection process.
Though the aided schools claim that the vacancies increased to 12000 following the ban on recruitment since 1995, The officials said it will not be more than 3500 as thousands of students left these schools due to shortage of staff.
